About Us
I have over 35 years of extensive and diverse people management experience across multiple industries, which has provided me with a rich tapestry of knowledge and skills. My career has spanned various sectors, including recruitment, retail, warehousing & distribution, logistics, manufacturing and hospitality, allowing me to understand the unique challenges and opportunities that each field presents.
This breadth of experience has equipped me with a versatile approach to leadership, enabling me to adapt my management style to suit different organisational cultures and team dynamics.
In addition to my management experience, I like to bring my successful sports coaching background into my business management roles. The principles of teamwork, discipline, and strategic planning that I learned as a coach are invaluable in the corporate world. I believe that fostering a collaborative environment where individuals feel supported and motivated can lead to exceptional results.
My coaching experience has taught me the importance of setting clear goals, providing constructive feedback, and celebrating successes, which I incorporate into my management practices to drive team performance and engagement.
Since moving to Auckland 27 years ago, I have gained valuable experience managing diverse teams composed of different cultures and age groups. This multicultural exposure has enriched my understanding of how to communicate effectively and build rapport with individuals from various backgrounds.
My experience in managing intergenerational teams has also highlighted the importance of mentorship and knowledge transfer, ensuring that wisdom and skills are shared across age groups.
Throughout my career, I have achieved significant success in building cohesive teams and growing business productivity and profit through good common-sense initiatives.
